I have the no leech script running (well i did) and for some reason, you can open images up in a new window, but on hitting the print button, it gets the no leech image, or it did until i took off the noleech script.

I had the no leech script running because i was getting folks leeching 3gb a day of images off my site. the leeched images arew for a girl that won america's next top model thwe reality show. and her agent went to print and he got a rude no leech image in its place http://www.testshoot.com/noleech.jpg so now i turned it off, any sufggestions?

Good question...

I THINK,  not exactly sure,  but when printing, the request referer may be different than what you have exceptions for...

I know I've used a deal like

<link rel=alternate media=print href= "printversion.txt">

To prevent people from printing off my pages,  perhaps the referer is "printversion"

Sorry I am just getting started into all this stuff...  Wish I could help more.

i know the alt media tag, that ain't it. i do use the tag on some pages, but not when the url is like www.testshoot.com/myimage.jpog (as an example, dead link) and the only thing in the browser window is an image, hitting the print button should work just fine, but it did not.

Check request going from a browser to a server when user request image printing. Probably it has empty referer. You can use some network analyzer or plug-in for IE (for example, HTTPWatch)  to capture a request.

Try to delete temporary internet files, it might be you are getting images from browser cache.

That is going to be difficult, having a pop up msg on all the images that says to the average newbie user to clear their cache before printing.

BTW, that does not work.
