I'm running IIS 5.0 on windows 2000

Url Rewriting is working fine if I have my rewrite rules in the conf file but if I have them in the HTaccess file there is a begin watch directory failed error and the URL rewrite doesn't work. On a test server I have given full permission to the site directory to all users.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Please tell whether you are using Full or Lite version of ISAPI_Rewrite.

Thanks Anton. I ended up doing a complete uninstalled and rebooted. Reinstalled and set the system account permissions to full control and it is working.
