We're bringing our database down over the weekend for maintenance and I'd like to redirect our entire site to a page explaining this, www.site.com/maintenance.html.  I also need to send a status code of 503 to any spiders/crawlers that hit our site.  Can anyone help me to do this through ISAPI Rewrite?

ISAPI_Rewrite could help with the first part but it can not set a status code. However, you could redirect or rewrite all requests to a script page which could set the required status. Corresponding redirect rule is:

RewriteRule .* http\://someothersite.com/maintenance.asp [I,R]
