Hello,
a few hours ago I have installed ape trial on one of our plesk9 servers. Everything on this host has worked flawlessly until now. I followed helicon's installation guide for iis6 systems (global matching...) and set-up the folder permissions for plesk services/system accounts. After that all php sites won't work anymore. Also the plesk control panel is down. The server brings up error 404 for php sites, but html sites work like before. This is a production machine and must be fully functional asap so I decided to uninstall ape. After that step the error is still present!

I've searched a lot and did some analyzing on the host but haven't found any usefull information so any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's strange. If uninstalling Ape didn't help, that it must be smth else that caused it.
Windows logs, Ape logs (error.log and rewrite.log), appllicationHost.config are greatly appreciated.

Regards
Andrew

I already have found the problem & a solution: after uninstalling ape there
were no html & php extension mappings anymore in every website defined
in iis6. after setting them up using a fresh plesk installation as a template
everything was working fine.

i've installed isapi_rewrite 3 now and it's working, but i want the ape
features for the final step. when i try to install it i'm going to do a san
snapshot for the server volume before installation
