Hi

I hope someone can help me

I am using:

RewriteRule ^[^-/]*~(\d+)\.htm$ /news.asp?ID=$1
[QSA,NC,L]

on the following:

/oak_furniture_popularity~1986.htm

to redirect to the below with the URL showing
news.asp?ID=1986

The server has 2.8 installed I think my syntax maybe for
ver 3.1?

Can you help?

Yes, your syntax is for 3.x. Please try this rule instead:

RewriteRule /[^-/]*~(\d+)\.htm /news.asp?ID=$1 [I,L]
