Hi, I am currently migrating sites to my new server. I used linkFreeze on IIS6 on my old server on many sites, all with the same rule.

Directory Pattern /
Replace ? with /
Replace & with /
Replace = with /
Move file extension to the end of the url - unticked
Replace file extension with htm - blank

On my new server I have installed APE.
Do I also install LinkFreeze or do I use the functionality within APE?
If so how do I replicate those same rules?
Also how do I disable linkFreeze from specific folders, in IIS6 I select the folder properties > HTTP Headers > X-LinkFreeze-Control: Disable

Please advise ASAP.

Thanks, James

Hello, the answer to your issues would be:

1) Enabling LinkFreze in Ape:
SetEnv mod_linkfreeze

2) Implementing the rule you were using:
LinkFreezeRule /// [MoveExt, Redirect]

3) How to turn off LinkFreeze for certain folder:
<Location /admin>
LinkFreezeEngine off
</Location>

All of the information provided was taken from documentation at
http://www.helicontech.com/ape/doc/mod_linkfreeze.htm
