i got on the heliconjet app and unchecked the cache under static file types like aspx, cfm, and when i closed the app and opened it back up the two are checked again. any suggestions on how to make it permanent?

Is your HeliconJet configuration file in installation
folder or in website folder?

Please check you HeliconJet.ini file permission. Can a
Helicon Manager to write in this file?

You can disable cache in HeliconJet.ini text file. Just
drop these words from specified line
"Cache Expire:X"
