Hi.

I am currently evaluating ISAPI_Rewrite 3 (we do have v2 in use) and do experience problems when installing it on Windows Server 2003 SP2 with IIS 6.0

While ISAPI_Rewrite.dll runs withou any problem as an ISAPI filter and works, IIS cannot load ISAPI_RewriteProxy.dll

If its installed as a filter, IIS does not start and in the application log I do get: "Could not load all ISAPI filters for site/service.  Therefore startup aborted." (Source: W3SVC-WP).

I already saw that WinHttp.dll (one of the dependencies of ISAPI_RewriteProxy.dll) is missing and copied that DLL to the system directory, this however did not help.

Is there any known problems with installing ISAPI_RewriteProxy.dll on Windows Server 2003 SP2 with IIS 6 ?

Hello Andreas,

The possible issues is that you try to load ISAPI_RewriteProxy.dll as ISAPI_Filter, while it's an extension.
OR there might be some other server setting that prevents from loading the ISAPI_RewriteProxy.dll.
