Hi,
I have 2 windows server 2008 R2 (64-bit) servers and have attempted to install ISAPI Rewrite 2 (x64_0073), but having no joy. It seems to install fine and I've registered the full versions. However, rewrite rules aren't firing and nothing is being logged. It appears as though the ISAPI filter isn't working at all.

The Isapi filter is listed in the ISAPI filters section of the IIS configuration and the *.isrwhlp / helper module is configured in handler mappings. I've reinstalled with no joy. I'm having the same issue on both servers.

Thanks for your help

Two questions:

- why have you decided to install v2 not v3 or Helicon Ape?
- if you really need v2, it would be great to get an RDP access to your server to find out the problem.

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply.

We have an existing licence for v2 and about 100 websites all using v2 httpd.ini files. We're familiar with it and don't want an added complication during what's going to be a complicated migration.

I can't give you RDP access, but after a reinstall of rewrite 2 and checking through some other blog posts, I've narrowed it down to an issue with the application pool loading the filter (from application event log). Once I'd switched the test site to it's own AppPool in classic mode, the rewriting started working.

Thanks
