Is is possible to use Helicon Ape for sub domain wildcards. I'm trying to
avoid having a hosted domain with a empty host header. Basically I'm
after doing what you can in Apache where you can have *.mydomain.com
pointing to mydomain.com. So

dummy.mydomain.com -> mydomain.com
sub2.mydomain.com -> mydomain.com

I'm running Win2008 RC2 Datacenter and have a DNS setting

* ipaddress

Cheers

Hello,
I believe it can be achieved as follows:
Code:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^.*\.mydomain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule (.*) http://mydomain.com$1 [P,L]

Thank you for your interest in our software.

From what I can see I need something like the following

Code:

<VirtualHost 111.22.33.55>
    DocumentRoot /www/subdomain
    ServerName www.domain.tld
    ServerAlias *.domain.tld
</VirtualHost>

However, it looks like it does not recognise the ServerName or the
ServerAlias directive?

Well, currently Ape doesnt support these directives. Since the product isnt a server itself most customers prefer to setup such settings through native IIS configuration.
However we may consider to implement the directives in further builds.
Thank you.
