Is whitespace compression supported by Heliconjet?

Helicon Jet does not remove exsessive space characters
in html, but actually gzip compression provided by Jet
is much more effective for the server
performance.

The reason I ask is because I am actually in the process of considering a compression software for IIS. I have a few on my list, and there is one that sticks out of them all that not only GZIPs the output, but also removes all whitespaces. I noticed that the resulting size is much smaller than just doing ordinary gzip.

For instance, using this third party tool, I shrunk a page to from 16kb to 2.4kb with GZIP alone. If I enabled whitespace supression, I shrunk it to around 1.6kb.

It might be something to take into consideration. :)

Thanks a lot for the info. We'll consider implementing this functionality.
