Will Helicon Zoo support ruby 2.2.4p230 for IIS?

18 Jul 2016, 15:36

I need to upgrade Ruby from 2.0 to ruby 2.2.4p230

I can't find any indication that Helicon supports this version.

Is it possible to install Ruby 2.2.4p230 on IIS 7 from Helicon?

thanks

chris

Hello.

Development of Zoo version 3 is paused. We are currently completing Zoo version 4. You can download and try Zoo 4 beta here: https://github.com/helicontech/zoo/releases
Sorry, no documentation available yet, but installation is rather straightforward. Because only installation part was re-created and execution module has not changed significantly it is quite safe to use it for production purposes as it is almost the same module that runs in Zoo 3. To install Ruby app go to Applications -> Template -> Ruby project. Currently, it offers Ruby 2.1 but should be easy to upgrade to Ruby 2.2. And the repository with applications is also awailable as open source project here: https://github.com/helicontech/zoo_repository You are welcome to compile your own repository if you want to install Ruby 2.2 version frequently. I will also upgrade Ruby version in master rep soon. Only need to test DevKit with this version as it is required for most applications.

Sorry, no documentation to be had yet, however, set up is instead straightforward. Because only installation component turned into re-created and execution module has no longer changed drastically it's far pretty safe to apply it for manufacturing functions as its miles nearly the identical module that runs in Zoo three. To install Ruby app go to programs Ruby mission. Currently, it gives Ruby 2.1 but should be clean to upgrade to Ruby 2.2. And the repository with packages is also available as open supply challenge right here https://ukdissertationwritingtips.blogspot.com/.
