Reverse Proxy 404

I am creating a reverse proxy to pipe in old content, into a new application. When I create the rewrite it functions perfectly, when I do so with ProxyPass it fails to proxy the content and presents a 404.

RewriteRule test http://oldqa.domain.com/test [R=301,NC] works.

ProxyPass test http://oldqa.domain.com
ProxyPassReverse test http://oldqa.domain.com does not work.
