Problem with htaccess an incoming requests
We have the following problem with URL rewriting on a website: the generated links are okay, for example http://www.domain.de/mitarbeiter/name.html, but I have a problem with all incoming requests: when I click on a link I get 404 page not found.
It seems that the thaccess-file in the root is not read or analyzed - when I change the thaccess nothing happens, even If the file is empty...
The mod_rewrite does obviously not work, I test it with the following scenario:
new folder domain/test
new file .thaccess:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^ http://www.webdatabases.de [R,L]
Browser: http://domain.tld/test/1/
--> 404 page not found

Re: Problem with htaccess an incoming requests
Please specify what version of IIS you are using.
Check the error.log in Ape installation folder for possible errors/warnings.
Check if the rule will work in global httlp.conf file.
