Migrating from ISAPI_Rewrite 3 to Ape not working

I have an old windows 2003 server that was using ISAPI_Rewrite 3 and updated to windows 2008. My rewrites are not working and I tried installing ape but still not. I tried some suggestions on other posts but no luck. Any ideas on what i can try?
