Helicon ISAPI_Rewrite 3 Lite -- Unsupported processor type

Error popups up when trying to install ISAPI_Rewrite 3 Lite

I have attempted all 3 versions, both 32bit, 64bit, and Itanium.

I am running Win7 Home Premium SP1 64bit, and the Intel CORE i7 Q720 processor. IIS 6.1 (Build 7601, SP1)

Hello.

Seems like IIS is loading 64-bit version of ISAPI_Rewrite dll into 32-bit process, or the contrary. Is your IIS entirely 64-bit or do you have any 32-bit Application pools in it? You may need to register 32-bit ISAPI_Rewrite dll as a module for 32-bit pools manually, instead of 64-bit dll version.

BUT I am referring to the initial installation failure, when I try to install it

Then my assumption is wrong.
Can you please copy your system information? Run msinfo32.exe from Start->Run, select all and copy, then send it here or to the support.

The configuration seems fine. For 64-bit Windows please choose 64-bit package version. Please generate verbose installation log by running installation with the command:

Msiexec /I "ISAPI_Rewrite3_0112_Lite_x64.msi" /L*v "ISAPI_Rewrite_msi.log"

And send resulting log file to us.

I couldn't figure out how to do what you asked, but I did go into the properties and selected the COMPATIBILITY mode to Run and it installed successfully.

Sorry for being unclear.

You need to open command line prompt, cd to the directory where you have downloaded ISAPI_Rewrite3_0112_Lite_x64.msi and run this command:

Msiexec /I "ISAPI_Rewrite3_0112_Lite_x64.msi" /L*v "ISAPI_Rewrite_msi.log"

There will be "ISAPI_Rewrite_msi.log" file created near. Grab it and send to us.
If ISAPI_Rewrite works then, maybe, ignore my message, as we are testing it on Win 7 Core i7 regularely and there seem to be no problem with this configuration. There must be something very specific to your system.

I changed the setup file to run in Compatibility mode and that seemed to fix it, I think.

It installed properly after that.
