ErrorDocument Issues
We purchased Ape specifically to be able to set ErrorDocument commands, but we've not been able to get it to work at all. As far as I can tell, Ape is installed, it shows up on the IIS panel, since we need to leave Isapi_Rewrite on to handle all the rewrite rules, at least until we can figure out why Ape won't work, I configured it to use ape.htaccess for the AccessFileName. All that I have in there is:
RewriteEngine on
ErrorDocument 404 /404error.htm
The last time I tested this, it was logging something at least, I'd get a 'init rewrite engine with /missing.htm' log entry, but then it'd just throw me to the usual IIS 404 page, instead of my configured ErrorDocument. Now I'm not even getting that, it's not logging anything at all, in either the rewrite log OR the error log.
Any ideas??

Re: ErrorDocument Issues
Hello,
Seems like Ape stopped working at all.
Please put the following test rule in the conifg
RewriteRule testtest http://www.google.com [NC,R=301,L]
and request yoursite.com/testtest. Report the result.
Also, please show the entire config you are trying to get working.

Re: ErrorDocument Issues
Nope, it just throws me to a IIS 404 page.
Which config are you looking for? In http.conf I set the filename as such:
AccessFileName ape.htaccess
I set the rewrite log to level 9, but otherwise everything was left as-is.
And then in ape.htaccess I now have only this:
RewriteEngine on
ErrorDocument 404 /404error.htm
RewriteRule testtest http://www.google.com [NC,R=301,L]
The bigger issue though is that it appears Ape isn't even running now, let alone following the directives. I checked the License Manager and it shows that the server license is correctly installed, so not sure what else to look for.

Re: ErrorDocument Issues
Hello,
This issue might be difficult to resolve without seeing, so is it possible to get remote access to your server to check all the settings?
If yes, please send the access credentials to [email protected] with reference to this forum post.
