Is the rewrite module in Ape completely compatible with ISAPI_Rewrite 3?

Yes, ISAPI_Rewrite 3 and mod_rewrite in Ape have identical syntax. Mod_rewrite, and Ape in general, combines ISAPI_Rewrite4 functionality and also has much reacher functionality on IIS7+. Please, see the chart - http://www.helicontech.com/ape/doc/compatibility.htm
