Can't GetShortPathName for

29 Sep 2014, 08:06

Hi all,

I need a bit of help and not sure where the problem lies.

So a background of my server..

I'm running a Win Server 2008 R2. We are using plesk as a all in one solution and IIS is running as our webserver and FTP server.

I'm have a issue with a site which needs python2.7 and is using a Django CMS tool.

I'm having a problem with two website which have the same problem

500 Error
Helicon Zoo module has caught up an error. Please see the details below.
Windows error
Access is denied. (ERROR CODE: 5)
Internal module error
message: Can't GetShortPathName for 'D:\Inetpub\vhosts\xxxx\xxxxx' directory type: ZooException file: Common\WinApi.cpp line: 737 version: 3.1.98.535

To this wasn't a simple problem of accessing the folder, i had modfied the folder so its open for all to use.

I Have a similar website which does work on the server, so i do know my python site can run on the server..I've also been able to make the site run locally however via iis, it doesn't work.

Any ideas

Hello,

Please grant List Folder Content permissions to the user of IIS app pool for this site for all directory levels up until the root
or
put the site in location with such permissions.

Alternatively, you can try removing APPL_PHYSICAL_SHORT_PATH from web.config and using APPL_PHYSICAL_PATH instead in all places.

Hi, Thank you for this,

I have checked the permissions for these root folders and i've made sure the pool has full access to the root folder, but this has not made any difference

Also checked i've im using short path anywhere in the project, it doesn't seem like i am.

No problem.

Ok, I have now change what link which web platform was linking too, so now i'm using the beta version. http://www.helicontech.com/zoo/feed-beta/

However i can't see how to update my version, to the 537 build.

I had checked the link to see if i could download an update from there, however i couldn't see and helicon zoo download.

My current Helicon installation is :

Helicon Manager, version 4.0.5.25
Helicon Zoo Editor, version 4.0.5.25
Helicon Zoo Module, version 3.1.98.535
Helicon Web.config editor, version 4.0.5.25

if you could point me in the right direction that would be great,

Thanks

Hello,

In WebPI you should go to Zoo -> Modules and you should see the Add button next to Helicon Zoo module. Press it. And then press Install.
