I have been spoiled the last 10+ years. I have my own dedicated IIS server and it has had ISAPI-ReWrite on it for most of that time.

I use it to block attempts to DL Access .mdb files no mater where they are, redirect picture and .zip file requests that were not referred from a link on my site, and it's worked great.

I found some cheaper hosting and starting to move to the new server but I am getting the feeling cheaper hosting may not be so hot if I can't protect my pics and zip's and be able to have my DB files wherever I want and still be protected too because of no ISAPI support.

I have just been using the Lite version, it's even more than I need. I think it might behove Helicon to contact GoDaddy.com where I have started moving and give them a deal to offer your Re-Direct product too.

I sent them and e-mail and don't know if they have some other options on their bargin shared hosting plan, but what the hell ya know? I love ReWrite and I continue to thank you guys with a link on my web site for the Lite version ;-}

Thank you for your e-mail. Unfortunately hosting companyes (especially large as GoDaddy) are very cautious on installing third party components. My e-mail hardly presuade them, they will mostly consider it as spam or advertising. But mails from their customers definitely may do this work, so thank you for your help on this! We will be working in this direction, it is in our interest.

I heard back from GoDaddy, they won't install R/W on their shared IIS servers, but they do allow you to install whatever you want via Remote Desktop on their Dedicated and Virtrual Dedicated servers so I canceled my shared hosting and getting a VD web space.

I'm a spoiled American that is on a real dedicated IIS server box for a decade now, I need to move hosting to save some money now and with the new VDS plan thats $40 US a month savings, but being spoiled it would still be a No-Go if there was no other solution for what ISAPI-ReWrite does for me now and I couldn't use it.

You guys rock, and thanks again.
