We have a situation where we have some jpg files that are being hotlinked and resulting in a ton of traffic.  Instead of blocking the traffic from these hotlinkers, we simply want to redirect the users requesting the jpg to an htm page.  Basically we want to let them see the picture but throw some content around it.

I dont see a way to do this with hotlinkblocker, but wondering if there is one.  If not, has anyone had any luck getting this to work?

We are using a dedicated server (windows 2003) running IIS 6.0 and ColdFusion.

Thank you in advance!!

Problm is the pictures are embedded in page using <IMG> tag. Browser will not allow you to redirect host page by submitting something in the picture (unless you find some exploit). So the only way is to display picture with the link on it and hope user will read it.

so it would help with an href tag (calling the jpg) on the other site, but not if they use an img tag.

We are trying to convert the hotlink to actual page views.

There cannot be another solution. You cannot point client browser to some page only by changing content of the image file. Since <IMG> tag is used it is impossible.
