I have an issue with some characters not working in URL's. What I am doing is including the page name in the query string, and sometimes it includes charaters like em-dash and smart-quote. When it does, it gives 404.

I rules out ISAPI_Rewrite. When I turn off LinkFreeze it works fine. Even when I try to URL-encode it it does not work.

Example:

http://www.test.com/library/article.htm/aid/108386/title/Proof-of-L“ps

http://www.test.com/library/article.htm/aid/108386/title/Proof-of-L%E2%80%99ps

(The first example is a smart-quote)

Make sure you are running latest build of LinkFreeze, upgrade if needed. This could be a problem with normalization. Please show your IIS log records corresponding to error requests.

I have the latest build.

IIS is showing the actual character, not URL encoded.

I resolved this in ASP, where I am stripping out all non-standard characters. You may want to fix this anyway.

Oh, you are killing me :)

Yes, we are working on a fix. It will be available with the next build of LinkFreeze.

Ok. It's funny since now is the time that others are on vacation, so it gives us more time to finally implement this on the site... :)
