I purchased HotLinkBlocker and I’ve installed it. None of the sites are showing Hotlink Blocker Tab under its properties under IIS Snapin. I’ve followed the instructions for installing the Snap-in extension and there is no "HotlinkBlocker Snap-in extension" to put a check by in the last step in the "Extensions" tab on the "Add/Remove Snap-in" dialog under "Information Services" in the Microsoft Management Console.
I’m using Microsoft Windows 2003. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Please tell me exact version of HotlinkBlocker you are installing? Installation file name would be sufficient.
Make sure you are login as a server administrator. Sometimes you may need to be logged in as a user Administrator.
Also try to register HtolinkBlockerSnapin.dll manually by running regsvr32.exe

I'm installing the newest version available I believe: hotlinkblocker0051.msi
I tried registering it with the following command and then got the following error:
Command:
regsvr32.exe C:\DotNetPanel\HostingSpaces\counter-strike\HotlinkBlocker.d ll
Error:
C:\DotNetPanel\HostingSpaces\counter-strike\HotlinkBlocker.d ll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file can not be registered.

Maybe you are trying to install HotlinkBlocker on a 64-bit version of Windows? Current version only run on the 32-bit Windows. 64-bit version is coming soon.
Or installation package was corrupted during download. Please try to download it again.

Yes, it's 64 bit. How do I got about getting a refund? Are there any other products that you recommend similar to this one that will work on a 64 bit operating system?
Thanks,
Pete

There is a 64-bit version of HotlinkBlocker. It is not available yet for download, but it is fully tested and operational. We are planning to release it next week, but I can send you a direct download link right now.
If you are interested please recall your refund.

I've installed it and the tabs are now viewable. I've configured it, but it seems to be doing the same thing whether enabled or disabled. How do I test it to see if it's working correctly?

I followed the instructions here:
http://www.helicontech.com/hotlinkblocker/doc/protecting.htm
I'm using the REFERER protection method. I added my /uploads folder to the protection folders list and set REFERER protection mode.
Example file: http://maps.domain.com/download.php?fid=93&file= de_rats_fabi.zip
Thanks,
Pete

Please show your HotlinkBlocker configuration file. And I cannot access your example page. Also since files are located on a different servers you will need to whitelist all your server domains.

The config file is posted below. All of the domains are located on the same server. The subdomain maps.counter-strike.com is currently down, but we're working on getting it back up. I want to protect .zip and .rar files in that domain.

Is it a single IIS web site with aliases or multiple IIS web sites? For multiple sites please note you need to configure HotlinkBlocker for correct web site, in your case it should be a maps.counter-strike.com Next you will need to whitelist www.counter-strike.com as a referrer because links will stop working.
BTW, don't post a "Signature" value to the open sources and if you ever plan to use a LINK protection method use HotlinkBlocker configuration to generate a fresh "Signature" value.
Here is a config example:
#################################################
# HotlinkBlocker Configuration file
# Version 1, 3, 0, 52
Signature=59e4ea00-33fc-4913-bf51-f9a221f7acd7
LinkExpires=1800
NotifyOrder=MEDIUM

[ReferersWhiteList]
@http\://([^.]+\.)?domain\.com

Each subdomain is it's own IIS website. I put that config file in my maps.domain.com under the Hotlinkblocker tab in that subdomain directory. The entire subdomain was down until I disabled Hotlinkblocker. It came up after that, I reenabled it, and it's still up. I still don't think it's working correctly though.

The website going down was unrelated to Hotlinkblocker.
How can I test to see if this is working correctly?

If you have used configuration I gave to you, then just try to link to the file inside /uploads directory from one of the sites not located under domain.com domain. There should be a direct inline link in HTML code to the protected file.

I can download the .zip files just fine from other websites. It doesn't appear to be working.

Have you entered a registration key? 64-bit version does not have trail period. Can you check that HotlinkBlocker ISAPI filter is up and running under your site's properties. Check Application and
System log for possible error messages.
Also please try to enable HotlinkBlocker in a LINK protection mode for some test folders. Possibly you will need this protection mode to protect ZIP and RAR files correctly.

I have registered it. I click on the "About" button and it says it's registered.
The HotlinkBlocker ISAPI filter shows a red down arrow to the left of it. I assume that means it's down?
I receive the following error in Event Viewer under Applications:
"Could not load all ISAPI filters for site/service. Therefore startup aborted."
Since this points to HotlinkBlocker not starting I haven't done anything with LINK protestion mode.

Right. It is more likely a NTFS permission problem. Please check permissions to the HotlinkBlocker installation folder. Especially check for Deny records.
