i want to do the following
im new to this i dont know if its possible or not

i have a site www.mydomain.com
and a subdomain forums.mydomain.com

i want the url www.mydomain.com/forums/
to be servred from forums.mydomain.com
but the url in browser should look www.mydomain.com/forums/

i tried to rewrite www.mydomian.com/forums to
forums.mydomain.com it works fine
but i the url in broewser is forums.mydomain.com
i want it to be www.mydomain.com/forums

the rule given by u is not workin

it takes me to www.forums.mydomain.com/forums

i want the url to look like
forums.mydomain.com/forums

and the request should be processed by
forums.mydomain.com

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^forums\.mydomain\.com$
RewriteRule .? http://www.mydomain.com/forums [NC,P]
