Hello:
In another post, I have requested for this, but I'm afraid I had not explained clearly.
www.abc.com and www.domain.com are bound to different sites in IIS 6. And the sub-domain a.abc.com was bound to the site of www.domain.com
What I want is: when users request for a.abc.com, showing contents from www.abc.com but not www.domain.com , and the browser url keeps showing a.abc.com's, just as it was bound to www.abc.com
Can this happen? Thanks

Hi,
Please try this:
Code:
RewriteCond Host: a\.abc\.com
RewriteRule (.*) http\://www.abc.com$1 [I,L,P] |

Hi Vyacheslav: This rule does not work. I add this rule to the www.domain.com's httpd.ini file since a.abc.com is bound to this site, but the browser says could not find the page.
Please be noted www.abc.com and www.domain.com are on the same server and a.abc.com was bould to www.domain.com
Any other rules could try? thanks

I had also tried to add the rule to the global ini file, the same result.
Best regards

You may need to configure .isrwhlp extension mappings by running
cscript proxycfg.vbs -r
command from the ISAPI_Rewrite installation folder.

Thanks,Lexey:
It does work after script registration. May you let me know what does it mean by runing "proxycfg.vbs -r"? Why this not supported by default?
Thanks a lot

proxycfg script adds script mappings for the proxy extension to the IIS metabase if they are missing. This action is not needed in default IIS configuration, so installer does not do it.

I am having a similar problem with version 3, but this script does not seem to be available in the version 3 installer package. Is it ok to try the script in the version 2 package in a version 3 installation?

No, most probably this script will not work for v3.
