Looking to have a rewrite based on the referrer images.google.com. When the referrer is images.google.com, I want to redirect to somepage.asp and use the referrer URL in a querystring.

ex. images.google.com?search=house ==> somepage.asp?term=images.google.com?search=house

Any suggestions?

Please try to apply this config:

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} (.*images\.google\.com.*) [NC]
RewriteRule .? http://www.domain.com/somepage.asp=%1 [NC,R=301,L]

Tried, did not seem to work.

The URL from images.google.com has a multitude of querystrings it passes as well. Is this config just looking for an exact referrer match or is it just looking for images.google.com somewhere in the referrer? I do not care about anything but if the referrer is images.google.com, redirect and maintain the querystrings.

Please try to use this config and in case of problems, please provide rewrite log records for the specific request.

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} (.*images\.google\.com.*) [NC]
RewriteRule .? http://www.domain.com/somepage.asp?term=%1 [NC,R=301,QSA,L]
