When I use version 2 of ISAPI Rewrite, a new rule takes effect imediately. When adding a new rule to a rewrite map in version 3, it seems to take longer to take effect. I'm not sure when since I usually write them in both places and remove the one from version2 when the version3 one takes. When I look at the error.log it records what seems to be when the rules load. Is there a way to get the rules to reload more often?

Thanks

Royal

Are you talking about rules or map files?
What build of ISAPI_Rewerite3 are you using?
Please carefully check all permissions as per http://www.helicontech.com/isapi_rewrite/doc/security.htm

I am talking about map files. I am running version 3.1.0.51 and I do have all the permissions set. The issue isn't that the rules aren't applied but when they are applied. If I add a rule to the map file is it supposed to take effect immediately?

Thanks

The changes to the map file are applied upon the first request to the map file after its update.
If it doesn't work this way, the problem is likely to be in permissions.
Please check permissions for .htaccess and map file.
