I am setting up an xml sitemap.

Is there a rule to follow for encoding the URL for XML

Our URL's are formated as below, when we put these in an xml document the characters (+,%) give an error as well the encoded versions also do the same.

http://www.medicaldevicesource.com/medications/Celestone+Soluspan+Injection/6mg/ml
