Hi all,

Have a very simple request:

http://www.myDomain.net/jdoe should send the request to
http://www.myDomain.net/index.cfm?ID=jdoe

I have this:
RewriteRule /(.*) /index.cfm?ID=%1 [L]

but I always get a 404 on my site. Running Ape 3.0.0.60

What could be the problem?

TIA

Hello.
Please try the following code:

Code:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ /index.cfm?ID=$1 [L]

Note, “RewriteEngine on” is required to enable URL rewriting. Matched regex groups have $N pattern in RewriteRule and %N pattern in RewriteCond directives.

Hi Slavik,

I tried your suggestion and now I'm getting this error:

HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable

I even disabled Helicon Ape and still get the same error. Please help!

Hello.
Perhaps ColdFusion breaks Ape’s work. Please use the following article to configure ColdFusion: http://www.helicontech.com/articles/adjusting-coldfusionisapi_rewrite-collaboration/

Note, the article gives not the exact code, but an example. You should put real paths to ColdFusion DLLs accordingly.

Tried that and it still doesn't work.
Any other thoughts? My site was working fine until I enabled Helicon Ape.

Slavik,

I just received a response back from your mail server saying the file was too large:

The message you are sending is too large.  All messages must be less than 27.00 MBytes.

If you have questions related to this or any other Google Group, visit the Help Center at http://www.google.com/support/a/helicontech.com/bin/static.py?hl=en_US&page=groups.cs.

Thanks,

helicontech.com admins
Any other ideas to troubleshoot this further?

Thank you

Hello.
Is it possible for you to upload the file somewhere? Once you have it uploaded, please let us know where we can download the file.
Thank you.
