Hi all,
Have a very simple request:
http://www.myDomain.net/jdoe should send the request to http://www.myDomain.net/index.cfm?ID=jdoe
I have this: RewriteRule /(.*) /index.cfm?ID=%1 [L]
but I always get a 404 on my site. Running Ape 3.0.0.60
What could be the problem?
TIA

Hello.
Please try the following code:
Code:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ /index.cfm?ID=$1 [L] |
|
|
Note, “RewriteEngine on” is required to enable URL rewriting. Matched regex groups have $N pattern in RewriteRule and %N pattern in RewriteCond directives.

Hi Slavik,
I tried your suggestion and now I'm getting this error:
HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable
I even disabled Helicon Ape and still get the same error. Please help!

Hello.
Perhaps ColdFusion breaks Ape’s work. Please use the following article to configure ColdFusion: http://www.helicontech.com/articles/adjusting-coldfusionisapi_rewrite-collaboration/
Note, the article gives not the exact code, but an example. You should put real paths to ColdFusion DLLs accordingly.

Tried that and it still doesn't work. Any other thoughts? My site was working fine until I enabled Helicon Ape.
