Hi,

I am using helicon tech referrer protection.
I want to block empty referrers but allow empty refferers only for certain user agents. Please let me know if that is possible.

Thanks,
Hemant

Have a look at this docs article: http://www.helicontech.com/hotlinkblocker/doc/textconfig.htm
At the bottom there are UserAgentsBlackList and UserAgentsWhiteList sections which might be exactly what you need.

Hi,

I had a look at it before. The thing I am interested is to allow empty referrers only for a specfic User agents(Iphone applications). All other empty referrers should be blocked.

So does Hotlinkblocker allow a combination of such rules.

Thanks,

Hemant

Ok, it seems the logic you need is not possible in HotlinkBlocker, but you can easily achieve it with ISAPI_Rewrite 3 with the help of

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER}
and
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT}
conditions.
