Hi,

we like to remove the index.php from the url's in magento. I tried a lot of codes in the htacces file, alsof found here at the forum (like this one)Like this one now and we still recieving an 404 error.

We are using the latest APE version, @ win 2003 / CGI/FastCGI /

Hope someone can help us out :)

Hello,
Please make sure Ape was installed properly as described by this guide: http://helicontech.blogspot.com/2009/03/using-helicon-ape-under-iis6-windows.html

You may try very simple rule to make sure mod_rewrite of Ape works:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule .? - [G]

If you get �410 Gone� response for every request�Ape�s working.
