Hi,

I'm about to order ISAPI_Rewrite, but was looking at APE and wondering what the catch was.  From the features and compatibility chart it seems that you are getting more functionality with APE for less money?

Is there something specific about ISAPI_Rewrite that sets it apart from APE to justify the extra $5?

The only difference is that ISAPI_Rewrite runs on Windows 2003 and IIS6 while Ape runs on Windows 2008 and IIS7. If you have Windows 2008 your choice is obviously Ape.

I'll look into the upgrade and getting it done first then.

Is it worthwhile running Jet alongside APE on IIS7 then? Yes, compression and cache features are already included in Ape. Ape comes with preset configuration to enable these features same way as they used in Jet, simply include following file into configuration:

Include smart_gzip_compression.conf

See it is incredible product! :) Relatively small market share of Windows 2008 makes us push Ape harder to retain market presence as Windows 2008 share increases, thus lower prices and better licensing models. But Ape is the best thing we offer now and no analogs on the market.
