Hi,

I am trying to redirect a whole site to a url.

RewriteEngine on

#Permanent redirect to update old links
RewriteRule (.+) http://www.neelabettridge.co.uk$1 [R=301,L]

We have a site that is indexed in google and would like all links from www.wheelhouse-executive-coaching.co.uk or for example www.wheelhouse-executive-coaching.co.uk/view_from_the_sea_definitions.htm to redirect to http://www.neelabettridge.co.uk.

I have created a httpd.conf file and inputed the above code but it will not work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Nicholas

Please clarify what version of ISAPI_Rewrite you are using - 2 or 3.
'Cause you've posted the question in v2 forum and the config above is for v3.

Please try to use the following config in the .htaccess:

RewriteBase /

#Permanent redirect to update old links
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ http://www.neelabettridge.co.uk/$1 [R=301,L]

If it still doesn't work, please enable logging and provide rewrite.log records for the specific non-working request.

This has been uploaded to IIS on a shared platform at my ISP.

How do I enable logging?

Oh, so you are on the shared hosting. Then it's quite difficult to obtain the logs for your specific site.
Is this the only rule you have in the .htaccess?
What error you get upon the testing request?
