Well, this is the rule for that:

RewriteRule ^index\.php/(.+)$ $1 [NC,R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^(?!(?:index\.php)/)(.*)$ index.php/$1 [NC,L]

But, there's no need if you followed the article - http://www.helicontech.com/articles/joomla.htm
