I purchased Isapi_Rewritea while back and it is working great.  I am looking into Jet, but cannot get it to compress files after install.

Windows 2003 SP2 32bit
IIS6
Isapi_Rewrite 3.1.0.57
Jet 1.1.0.24
Coldfusion 8

Here is my config file:

Code:

#################################################
# HeliconJet Configuration file
# Version 1, 1, 0, 24

NotifyOrder=HIGH

MaxCacheSize=0
MinFileSize=512
MaxFileSize=0
FileCacheDirectory=d:\inetpub\heliconJetCache\
ProxyRequests=enable
AppendQuerystring=enable

[Defaults]
Extension:css    Level:5    Cache
Extension:cfm    Level:5    Cache
Extension:htm    Level:9    Cache
Mime:text/* Level:5    Cache

[URL:/]
Static Level:6
Dynamic Level:6

[Cache-Control]

I have set up a test .htm file (to rule out ColdFusion issues) and that wont compress either.

Please let me know if you see anything strange in my config, or have other things to try.

Thanks,

It might be visible from the config file, but I also have a Directory pattern set up of /

Oh, and also, Isapi_rewrite is disabled on this site (it is fusebox).  I use it on another site that I will want to use Jet on as well.

Hello!
This configuration is working properly: i get compressed htm files on my testbox.

1. How do you check that response is compressed?
2. May be your test.htm is less then MinFileSize?

1.  I use Charles to check compression.  I love that program.
2.  My test.htm is 12Kb.  Could you test?  http://www.assetnation.com/test.htm

I can't figure it out.  I had monkeyed with IIS compression (digging through ini files etc) before installing Jet, could those files have anything to do with Jet not working?

Thanks,

Do you enable Jet for your site?
Start - Programs - Helicon - HeliconJet - Helicon Manager - [your web site node] - HeliconJet tab - 'Enable HeliconJet' button - Apply.
HeliconJet will start with the second request to your site.

Yes, unfortunately I checked that as well.  I believe it might be at our host's level, and am checking into that now.

Thanks for your help so far...
