Have a problem with link protection giving AOL browsers dead images. If the same user uses IE all is well. Is there a Hotlink blocker and AOL problem? Thanks.

Am I correct in that link protection looks for the signature AND the IP address to be correct?

With AOL, they use a proxy server that has the effect of every element of a page appearing to come from a different IP address.

Once the containing HTML is rendered and given all of the image link signatures, if they were then requested from a different IP address, would they fail? I am guessing this could be the problem?

Unfortunately AOL doesnt give us any control of the IP. Is there any way that LINK protection can be configured to not use the IP address as part of the verification, and just use the signature?  It is a big problem of Hotlink Blockers functionaility if it cant work with one of the worlds largest ISPs.
