php_wincache.dll versus Ape Cache
Hello,
We are playing around with some cache mechanisms.
Actually we're running the WinCache Extensions for PHP, which stores the PHP bytecode.
To be honest, it is hard to see any performance benefits.
Do you have any benchmarks numbers using mod_cache?
thanks

Hello,
"Do you have any benchmarks numbers using mod_cache?"
Here http://www.helicontech.com/articles/tag/caching/ and here http://www.helicontech.com/articles/tuning-wordpress-with-helicon-ape-on-iis7-permalinks-browserserver-caching-compression/ you can find a number of articles showing how our caching works and what kinds of content it is efficient to cache with it.
There are also some figures comparing performance with and without caching.
Could you specify what kind of content you want to cache and we'll tell if our cache will be helpful for you.

Re: php_wincache.dll versus Ape Cache
Hello Anton,
Many thanks for the answer. What we like to Cache? On the server are mostly php based cms like wordpress and others. I think, i can use your article for wordpress to get it done step by step. In general, we like to speed up the sites.
We have also a large cms running witch is able to create static pages, only the news will be taken by some php scripts from the database.

Hello,
Yes, following the article about Wordpress should be you main direction.
You may also try to cache some static content but be careful not to cache pages after user authorization.
