Reading of machine.config on every request
We've noticed with process monitor that Isapi_rewrite.dll (version 3, 1, 0, 82) is reading machine.config completely on every request - see attached image for screen shots. Those read impacts scalability and performance on high volume load test.
Is this a known defect, can it be eliminated?

Re: Reading of machine.config on every request
Hello.
Sorry for the delay.
This is strange, however, I cannot confirm this behavior locally. I tried with ISAPI_Rewrite build 112 64-bit version on Windows 10. Please try to upgrade to the most current version of ISAPI_Rewrite first.
What makes it even more strange is that ISAPI_Rewrite is a legacy ISAPI filter and actually knows nothing about .NET, IIS Pipeline and machine.config files, hence is unlikely to ever request one.

Re: Reading of machine.config on every request
Am I missing something here? From that trace, it would appear to be w3wp.exe that's reading the file. That's the application pool manager, surely?
