Does Helicon Zoo keep application up-to-date?
I am still exploring the use of Helicon Zoo.
Once I install an Application (e.g. Redmine, awstats), will Helicon Zoo be able to update these when new dot releases come out? Is that my responsibility after the initial install ot update these manually? Or, do I just go back to my server, open the Microsoft web platform installer and see the update?
Also, what about the engines and modules? Do they keep up to date?
Thanks,
Jason

Hello.
Unfortunately Microsoft Web Platform Installer does not support updates.
Some of the web applications may be updated by installing them again in same location, but it depends on the application and we cannot warranty no critical files will be overwritten. In general it is your responsibility to update applications like Redmine.
Talking about engines and modules again WebPI does not support updates. The only thing we can do is to mark engine or module as not installed if new version comes out. So you can click on install button again and run new installation. We always check this scenario so installing new version of engine again on the system will effectively update your current installation.

Will there be any plans to fix this where support updates for Microsoft Web Platform Installer is possible?

If Microsoft implements this into WebPI (which I doubt now), then we will surely use it.
